Hello Readers! Hope you all enjoying every post from AbtTech.com team. And this is the post about Windows 7 Keyboard shortcuts.Today one of my friend phoned me and asked some windows 7 keyboard shortcuts. so i googled windows 7 keyboard shortcuts and listed them.
Here the list begins,

Win+Home:
Minimize all windows except the one that’s currently active. Hit it again to restore the windows.

Win+Space:
Makes all windows transparent so you can see through to the desktop.

Win+Up Arrow:
Maximizes the active window.

Win+Down Arrow:
If the current window is maximized, restore it; if the current window is restored, minimize it

Win+Left/Right Arrow:
Docks the active window to the left or ride side of the screen.

Win + [+/-]:
Enables the magnifier and zooms in/out.

Win+P:
Opens Windows’ presentation settings so you can quickly adjust display settings to include a second monitor or a projector.

Win+Tab :
Flip 3D

Ctrl+Win+Tab :
Persistent Flip 3D

Win+T :
Cycle through applications on taskbar (showing its live preview)

Win+M :
Minimize all open windows

Win+Shift+M :
Undo all window minimization

Win+D :
Toggle showing the desktop

Ctrl-Shift-N:
To create new folder.

Commonly for all bloggers writing a posts with right keywords is a challenging job. But if a post has right keywords then it will much helpful in SEO (Search Engine Optimization). Here is a firefox extension which makes your work much easier.

SEO Blogger is a new firefox extension from wordtracker. It helps you to track the keywords while you are writing/editing blog post. So that you can choose the appropriate keywords easily.

You can download the extension here.

After restarting your firefox a logo with “W” will appear at bottom right. Click it and track the keywords.

Search and organise data using Google Squared

Google Squared is an interesting experiment in Google labs. It allows you to search and organize the data in form of square (i.e tabular format) you can even add/delete a column/row from the square.

Follow the examples for clear understanding

Examples:

To collect informations about various states in India in single page give the query “States in India” (or related) and hit enter.

See how the data are organised in square.

But here a column represents “flower” is not needed. Better it can be replaced with the column “chief minister” also I need to add a row for my state (Tamil Nadu).

After adding a row and column the result will look as follows.

Here are few more examples:

Search query : “linux distros”

Search query : “browsers”

ah Google chrome is not in list !!!

Make Multiple URLs into single

Fur.ly is a site which helps you to bundle multiple URLs into single short URL.

There is no need to sign up. When you enter your first URL it will add another text box to enter the next one. After entering all your URLs click GO.

When some clicks the shorten URL a beautiful drop down list box will appear at the top with all your links. Visit here for example.

Few tips to use this site :

Bloggers can use this to publish all their popular/latest posts in one tweet.

Web designers can use this to show all their clients site in a single tweet.

Why not. You can bundle all your social networking profile page URLs and do a tweet so that your friends can easily trace you in those sites.

Using Magic SysRq key in linux

Magic “SysRq” key, Have you used this key before?. Today i will give you a small tip based on this “SysRq” key.

In short Magic SysRq is a key combination in Linux which allows user to give some low level commands regardless of system’s state. You can read more about Magic SysRq key here.

Certainly when your system freezes you cannot do anything right?
Here is the procedure to use the SysRq key to reboot your linux distro (myself tested in UBUNTU) without any lose of data.

After your system got hanged. Press Alt+SysRq in your keyboard then by holding the those keys press the following keys one by one R S E I U B

For Example:
Press Alt+SysRq then press R for 2-3 seconds then release R (remember you should release only R not Alt+SysRq) and now move to S and press it for 2-3 seconds and release S then move to E and so on…
Please remember you should not release Alt+SysRq throughout the sequence (i.e until you finish releasing ‘B’)

Try to remember the key sequence using the sentence “Reboot Even If System Utterly Broken” .

The key sequence to shutdown the system is Alt+SysRq+R+S+E+I+U+O . Follow the same procedure as above.

How it will be if a Firefox Add-on provides you the above facility.

Ya DownThemAll is a download manager/accelerator Add-on for your Firefox. It features with an advanced accelerator that increases your download speed.

You can add it to your Firfox right from here

Just click the “Add to Firefox” button at the Firefox Add-ons page. It will be installed in your browser. Then you need to restart your browser to start using it.

When you click a file to download you can see an extra option “DownThemAll!” in your download window. Just select that and press ok

After verifying the location where the file to be saved, press start.

Now download window will open and starts to download.

You can also set some options like maximum concurrent download, Sound options etc.

After downloading a file you will get a cute beep.

Unzip files online

Some times we don’t have a software to extract files which is compressed in formats like 7z, TAR, RAR, GZIP etc.

Normally to unzip these formats we will search for the software that is used to decompress those files.

To avoid this kind of struggles a website called wobzip allow you to extract files online.

Just upload the compressed file or give the url of that file.

After uploading, it will extract all files and asks you to select the file to download or it has another option called “Download all files as .zip”.

Since .zip is common you can download it and extract in your system
