Is it possible to make your WordPress post or page links directly to other URL of your choosing , instead of its WordPress page or post URL?
Yes! its possible to link directly other URL to your wordpress post or page by changing permalink .
When i try to change the permalink of my blog post to other URL, i came to knw thats not so simple. Then i found the easy way so i write this post.
Cross promoting feature is more helpful
- to cross promote blog posts to other blog post,
- to link directly to a guest post author’s blog,
- for bookmarking,
- Linkbuilding etc.,
How to change wordpress post permalink to other URL?
Changing the wordpress post or page permalink is not a easy task. But to make the task simple, two wordpress plugins are available.
1.External Permalinks
This plugin insert the External URL text box in new post / page (wordpress dashboard). Enter the External URL in this box to redirect your blog post /page permanently.
2.Page Links To
This is another plugin gives some extra features like “link open in new window” and “301 redirect”
